Since the #1 way to prevent fire-related deaths is having a smoke and fire alarm in the home, our goal is to provide peace of mind and 24/7 protection to families in the form of a cool smoke and fire alarm. The NFPA reports that 2/3 of all home fire deaths are in homes with no smoke and fire alarms.
By making Smoke Alarms cool and moving away from a fear-based model to a fun model, The Buff Project catapults safety awareness by making life-saving smoke and fire alarms visible, fashionable and talked about by kids and adults alike.

WHO WE ARE
The Buff Project was created by second-generation City Firefighter, Brian Mullen. After witnessing the unnecessary suffering caused by not having working smoke detectors and being unsuccessful at finding for a purple smoke alarm to match his daughter’s purplicious room, he decided to take matters into his own hands and make smoke detectors cool!
